No-CD & No-DVD Patch troubleshooting: The most common problem getting a No-CD/No-DVD patch to work is ensuring that the No-CD/No-DVD patch matches you're game version, because the games exe is changed when a patch update is applied previous versions won't work. Gta 4 for download for pc.
If its an older game you are playing and you are running Windows 7 or Windows 8 it may not work, if you right click the .exe file and choose Properties and then Compatibility you can change this to run in Windows 98/ Windows 2000 etc. You can find more information on the Beginners Help page here
Gta Sa Exe 1 0
So, a while back i made a thread that allowed people to downgrade their GTA:SA to 1.0 from the Steam V3 version of the game prior to the December 2014 update, Rockstar decided to update the steam version of the game and mess up the game even more as music was removed (Yes, Rockstar removed content that some users paid for!) and just more things broken than before, now, some users might not have their original games anymore or bought the game legit on steam, as most people know GTA: SA V3 cannot be used for SA-MP due to locked down Steam (V3) EXE and removed data that messes with a 1.0 game EXE if you use that only in a Steam game folder (Due to missing audio).
Well, here's a solution, a downgrader i put together as a friend had an issue with this so i decided to help, so i decided to update my old tutorial with this, because, why the heck not?
Just a legal note, this cannot be used without a LEGITIMATE Steam copy of the game as only the data needed to downgrade is in this installer so using this installer without a legit Steam copy of the game will be of no use, also this once you downgrade you'll need to either put your legitimate GTA:SA DVD to play the game (Pointless, i know) or use your favorite search engine to locate an 'alternative EXE' that does not require the DVD to play, i wish i could include this 'alternative EXE' but i cannot do so for obvious legal reasons.
Note: There is a bug with the installer i made where it may not run if it's located on a partition larger than 2TB if you have an issue running the downgrder, make sure it is located on a partiton smaller than 2TB.
If an update to the Steam version arrives, i'll update this tutorial accordingly.
Anyways on with the tutorial.
Prerequisites:
A legitimate copy of the Steam version of GTA: San Andreas that is already downloaded to your machine.
This file (MEGA.nz): https://mega.nz/#!M5RCyYxZ!gF-o2x88s..acc3-SRIwcPKJo (1.23 GB file size.)
1. Download the downgrader (Link in prerequisites) it's a good idea to do this first so you don't have to sit around and wait as long for the downgrader to download, especially on a slow connection.
2. Open Steam and go to your games library (Second then Right click 'Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas' and click 'Properties. (Last option, at the bottom)
3. Navigate to the 'LOCAL FILES' tab (2nd from last and near top) and click 'BROWSE LOCAL FILES' (First option, near the top)
4. Press the 'up one level button' (Arrow pointing up right to the left of the navigation bar) if not click 'common' in the navigation bar. (You'll probably have to the alternative one if you're running an older version of windows if i recall.)
5. Select the 'Grand Theft Auto San Andreas' folder by clicking it. Like so.
6. Press 'CTRL' then press 'C' while still holding down CTRL.
7. Navigate to a directory where you normally install games to or want the game to be. (My Example will be 'C:Program Files (x86)Rockstar Games' Without quotes)
8. 'CTRL' then press 'V' while still holding down CTRL. Then wait for the copy to complete.
9. Run the downgrader (Make sure it has admin privileges, of course accept the UAC prompt if you have it enabled) you once you have downloaded it. Named 'GTASADOWNGRADE_V319DEC14_V1.0US.exe' and will be located wherever your browser/download program saved the file.
Note: It can take a few moments to start.
10. Click 'Next >' (Near the bottom)
11. Go to the folder where you put your COPY of GTA:SA (In my case 'C:Program Files (x86)Rockstar Games' Without quotes) and open it to see the game files, (Something like 'C:Program Files (x86)Rockstar GamesGrand Theft Auto San Andreas' Without quotes) and copy that directory (Press 'CTRL' then press 'C' while still holding down CTRL and paste it (Press 'CTRL' then press 'V' while still holding down CTRL) in the box where it's asking for the directory to be downgraded, or alternatively click '..' and navigate to the directory where your game files are located. Then click 'Next >'
12. Click 'Start' (Near Bottom Left) The downgrade will now take place, it may take a few moments.
13. Once it's done and indicates it succeeded, Click 'Next >' (Near bottom left) Then click 'Exit' (Near Bottom Left)

14. You now have a 1.0 version of the game! Install and setup SA-MP in the directory you used as if you were using a 1.0 copy of the game. And Enjoy SA-MP once again.
I hope you found this useful, if you find a mistake or anything else you need help with regarding this, please ask in this thread
